Welcome To My Website

* Are there issues affecting your life that you would like to discuss in confidence?

* Could you benefit from a regular time and space in which to explore your thoughts and feelings?

* Maybe you are looking for an opportunity to reflect, contemplating choices and ways forward?

My name is Felicity Runchman and I have been a practising counsellor/psychotherapist for the past 11 years. I am committed to providing a professional therapeutic experience in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. Bereavement counselling is a particular area of specialisation and interest for me - as is promoting resilience and helping clients to deal with burnout and work-related stress. I also have experience in working with trauma and in assisting clients with the process of healing and moving on from unexpected, difficult or disturbing life-events. Having undertaken training in online counselling, I offer services online as well as face-to-face.

I work with individuals on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, aiding them in exploring their lives with a view to living more fully. Helping people to acknowledge their feelings, understand themselves better and make positive changes is what I see as central to my work. In addition to this, I provide one-off consultations aimed at helping people to build resilience and prepare psychologically for new and challenging work roles, and to review their psychological health and well-being afterwards.

In the past, I have gained experience in helping clients with difficulties concerning:

Stress
Relationships
Bereavement/Loss
Depression
Low self-esteem
Sexual identity
Crisis of faith
Trauma
Redundancy
Work-life balance

However, this list is not exhaustive or exclusive to the issues I am willing to work with. The difficulties life presents us with can be hard to compartmentalise and, as a counsellor/psychotherapist, I welcome the challenge of working with new client concerns.

I offer most of my face-to-face appointments at a central location in Hackney which can be easily reached on public transport (the nearest underground station is Bethnal Green, the nearest overground station London Fields, and buses run regularly from other East London locations such as Whitechapel). At present, on Friday afternoons, I can also offer face-to-face appointments in Borough at a location that is similarly easy to access (the nearest underground station is Borough and it is also close to London Bridge underground, London Bridge overground, and the City of London). Alternatively, online appointments can be arranged at a time that is convenient to you.
